Celebrating the Year of the Tiger<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As the Lunar New Year approaches, we transition from the Year of the Ox into the Year of the Tiger. To honour this holiday, Busy Book will include a section that reflects the joy of families and friends coming together to enjoy the foods and traditions of Lunar New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wanted to ensure that every detail was informed by individuals who celebrate Lunar New Year, so we collaborated with folks of Chinese descent from different regions to learn more about their experiences and perspectives. We are so grateful for their insight and couldn\u2019t have brought this update to the Playroom without their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the first in a series of updates to help spark conversations around different cultures, celebrations and traditions. Our wish for the Playroom is that it can reflect the diversity of the world we live in. Whether you celebrate Lunar New Year or are learning about it for the first time, we hope you will enjoy this small slice of holiday festivities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travel back in time and discover these majestic creatures that roamed the Earth millions of years ago.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

While there are already a variety of creatures in Busy Book, we wanted to go back and add the ones that were here long before us\u2026 dinosaurs! As you may already know, we love hearing feedback from our users and this is often what inspires our new ideas. Months ago, one of our users suggested adding dinosaurs and it sparked a deep dive into prehistoric times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our team learned about how dinosaurs lived and even what sounds they really<\/em> made (a tall order for our sound designer)! In this new section, you can find various species of dinosaurs, plants, an archaeologist and a museum of history to discover! After months of research and prototyping, we\u2019re excited to finally share this update with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Busy Book empowers kids to guide their own exploration through a collection of items that showcase the wonders of the world around them. As they exercise their fine motor skills to navigate this space, they will be delighted by interactions that teach cause and effect, encourage storytelling, strengthen memory and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
