Pok Pok Playroom launches today!
After years of design, development and working closely with kids and their families, we are so excited to finally announce that Pok Pok Playroom is now available on the App Store!
Pok Pok Playroom is a collection of handcrafted toys that inspire kids to use their imaginations, solve problems and feel proud of everything they discover. With six handcrafted toys to explore at launch, children will develop critical skills as they build, tinker, create, experiment and best of all, have a lot of fun! Each toy in the Playroom is open-ended so kids can explore, play and learn at their own pace. There are no levels to beat and no right or wrong way to play, so kids are empowered to take risks and explore freely. Unsurprisingly, kids intuitively know what to do with each Pok Pok toy, even when we grown-ups might not quite know how to play with them.
While many of us grew up playing with lots of different toys, it’s the timeless ones that remain near and dear to our hearts. When we set out to design a new toy in Pok Pok, we always ask ourselves a few important questions: does it feel like the type of classic toy that kids will be able to play with again and again? Can it empower kids to be in control? Is there a possibility for deeper exploration as kids grow up and become more curious? Is it fun?
We strive to create toys that kids will want to keep right up until the moment when it’s time to tuck them away to be saved for their own kids. We have worked hard to make Pok Pok Playroom an experience that kids can grow with, not out of. The more they explore, the more they’ll discover!
We design every toy in the Playroom with our amazing team of educational advisors. Together, we ensure that each toy to offers endless opportunities for learning.
Because kids never stop dreaming up new ideas, neither do we. We’ll be updating these toys and adding new ones regularly to keep lighting that creative spark. They’re all included in the $3.99/month, $29.99/year (USD) subscription, meaning kids will never see an advertisement, in-app purchase or ever be asked to “unlock” a new toy.
We first started Pok Pok for some of our own kids, and now we’re so excited to share it with yours. When we began development on the Playroom, we set out to design empowering, creative experiences that encourage kids to follow their noses and let them be in charge. Now, we can’t wait to hear how your little ones navigate and discover things within each toy, because we know that each experience is as unique as the kids playing Pok Pok!
