We want to thank each and every one of you for your patience as we worked hard to bring Pok Pok to the Play Store. For us, this went far beyond just “copying” Pok Pok onto Android devices. We wanted to take our time in making this the best possible experience for your little ones—that’s on par with our experience on iOS.
We really mean it when we say our mission is to help raise the next generation of creative thinkers. Now, we can further make this dream a reality. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Melissa Cash, said it best,
“Bringing Pok Pok to Android means expanding our mission of nurturing creativity and curiosity in children everywhere. This launch marks a huge leap forward in making playful learning accessible to more families around the world, and opening doors for kids no matter what device they use.”
Now that we’ve reached this huge milestone, you might wonder what’s next for Pok Pok. Melissa shares,
“We still have a lot up our sleeves! We’re exploring new ways to expand and push the boundaries of what’s possible with conscious digital learning for kids. People should keep an eye out for some major updates in the next few months, including our first introduction of numbers into Pok Pok—a little spoiler!”
We always have new innovations being worked on behind the scenes, and we have a very exciting lineup of updates planned for the year ahead. Our Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Esther Huybreghts, adds,
“Because kids will always find new ways to play and learn, Pok Pok is never a finished project. The world is such a fun place to explore, and we’re always looking into new ways we can bring learning and play together. I’m particularly interested in innovative ways to approach STEM learning playfully, and help kids find confidence in their capabilities—they’re always so much smarter than we give them credit for!”
There’s no question that kids are brilliant, creative geniuses—they only need the space and opportunity to let their genius flourish! This is what we hope Pok Pok can be for kids everywhere.
Things You Should Know
Many of you have been curious about how Pok Pok on Android will work. Find answers to some of the top questions below and more information in our FAQ’s.
Account Creation
We recommend that you create an account to log into Pok Pok. This is especially important for people who have been playing on iOS/iPadOS but want to transfer their play over to an Android device as well!
For anyone who has been using Apple’s “Family Sharing” feature, this account creation will also fulfill the same purpose.
To create an account:
- Go to the Grown-Ups Area in the app (small grey icon in the bottom corner)
- Tap on “Register”
- Now, when you want to use Pok Pok on other devices, you can sign in on the welcome screen at the top left using the login button or in the Grown-Ups Area.
What about Amazon tablets?
We know so many families use Amazon Fire tablets so we’ll be bringing Pok Pok to these devices in the coming weeks as well! Keep an eye on our social media and your email inbox to be first to know when it’s available!
Bringing Pok Pok to Android opens up our community to so many more families across the world and we’re eager to meet you all.
